Maybe a good recipe to soak the chicken in overnight =/Does anyody know a Puerto Rican recipe for seasoning chicken?
I'm not Puerto Rican, but all my Boriquan friends tell me I cook damn good chicken. You're not doing bad using the Sazon and Adobo. I love using Goya. So try this: If you know what you're going to cook, season it 24 hours before in a plastic bag or container with a lid. I season my chicken with adobo with black pepper, one packet of sazon, garlic powder (sucks up the ';watery juice'; from cleaned raw chicken which adds more flavor) and sprinkle lightly a little brown sugar (for carmelizing either in the pan, oven or grill), lemon juice and onions. Refrigerate for 24 hrs. Shake it every now and then until you cook. If you use the brown sugar, don't go crazy, you don't want your meat sweet. Believe it or not, a little bit of soy sauce (I like kikkoman) like a dash or two (don't go crazy) with it to. It may seem like a lot of salt, but when I cook I use a whole lot of chicken. So maybe you want to use half of the season packet if you use it. Never the less, I grill it and its wonderful with yellow rice. Does anyody know a Puerto Rican recipe for seasoning chicken?
I do it all the time here is my recipe.

Take the chicken and wash/rinse out with water

Place in microvable dish and pour Soy Sauce over and in it

I put aluminum foil on the tips of the legs and wings (its o.k. to do this). Depending on the size of the chicken I put it on for 30-35 mins

baste every now and then with the soy sauce in the dish.
