I love bbq grilled chicken, my husband don't. What's a easy but great recipe to grill chicken?
This recipe comes from my husband's family who lives in Guam. They use whole chicken pieces, while I use drumettes. The ingredients may sound odd together, but it's a really good taste.
1/2 small onion, finely diced
1/2 C vinegar
1/4 C soy sauce
Mix all ingredients in a large zip-lock bag, add chicken and marinade several hours. Grill until chicken is done. The skin on the drumettes will get quite dark, but that's the way it's suppose to be. I guarantee you'll like this. What's a easy but great recipe to grill chicken?
Beer and Lime Chicken, it's awesome!
1 lime, juiced
1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer
1 teaspoon honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
Salt and pepper
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, mix the lime juice, beer, honey, garlic, cilantro, and salt and pepper until the honey dissolves. Pour the mixture over the chicken, cover and marinate for 30 minutes.
Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil grate.
Remove chicken from marinade and shake off excess; brush remaining marinade over chicken as it cooks. Grill chicken until tender and juices run clear, about 7 minutes per side.

DIRECTIONS
In a large bowl, whisk together oil, honey, soy sauce, and pepper. Before adding chicken, reserve a small amount of marinade to brush onto kabobs while cooking. Place the chicken, garlic, onions and
peppers in the bowl, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 2 hours (the longer the better).
Preheat the grill for high heat.
Drain marinade from the chicken and vegetables, and discard marinade. Thread chicken and vegetables alternately onto the skewers.
Lightly oil the grill grate. Place the skewers on the grill. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, until chicken juices run clear. Turn and brush with reserved marinade frequently.
I love whole chicken this way! Cut the spine out of the back and split open. Place chicken into a zip lock bag and add 1 cup soy sauce and 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp. granulated garlic, and 1/4 cup olive oil or vegetable oil . shake the whole thing in the bag and let set on the counter for 1 hour.
Preheat grill by placing charcoal on one side or turn on gas on one side to cook indirectly. Place a cast iron pan in the bbq and cover let heat 20 minutes.
Place chicken, skin side up onto grill opposite of heat source. Lightly oil the bottom of the outside of the skillet and place the skillet on top of the chicken with hot pads. Grill for 1 hour or until juices near thigh run clear. serve.
Delish!! You both will really enjoy it! No burning no raw chicken. Easy and fool proof!
Here's my super easy, suprisingly tasty method: In a mixing bowl, mix together 1 package of ready made dry italian or zesty italian seasoning mix, a little extra garlic powder ***NOT garlic salt** and black pepper (I sometimes add a dash of cayenne for some kick) and about 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, and a little splash of wine or vinegar. Toss in the chicken to coat (this can sit up to overnight if needed, but is not necessary). Grill until well done%26gt;yum!
We really like chicken on the grill. I sprinkle some garlic on it and brush it frequently with melted butter with garlic powder and seasoned salt. Turn it frequently and brush it every time you turn it. Hope you try it and like it!
marinate for 1 hr in olive oil and garlic and grill.
Comes out tender and juicy...MMMM MMMM MMMM
Marinade it in Soycha over night and then grill. Easy! Tasty!
