Dude, you don't know how cool it is to have another 15 year old guy who cares about what they eat and cook for themselves. If you have access to a George Foreman grill, it is great, as it cooks quickly and reduces fat. You could also bake it, but be sure to put tin foil on the cooking sheet so you don't burn the fat to the tray. If you go the grill route (a normal grill is fine, just less convenient) you could grill up some vegetables as a side, just use a half tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil for a 4 oz. serving. As far as seasoning goes I enjoy the combination of teriyaki sauce, ginger, and curry powder with rice and sugar snap peas and zucchini. If I want an Italian flare I cook the chicken with a little basalmic vinagarette dressing and garlic salt with Mrs. Dash, as a side I cook about 1/2 cup of penne pasta and have sauteed mushrooms and green peppers. Another great thing to do is a tablespoon of lemon juice and lemon pepper and pair it with asparagus and toast. I know these aren't ';recipes'; as much as suggestions, but I haven't gotten to that point yet, I just cook for myself so I do it as I go.Tasty and healthy recipe for chicken?
Congratulations on taking the steps to lead a healthier lifestyle! Here is one of my favorite low calorie, healthy chicken recipes, Lime Chiken with Avocado and Tomato:
Marinade 3 oz of chicken in a lime juice and cilantro. Spray a pan with non stick cooking oil and put the chicken with the marinade into the pan and cook over medium heat until chicken is cooked through.
Slice Half an Avocado and Half a Tomato and Arrange on Top of the Chicken. Serve over 1/2 cup of brown rice.
Hope you enjoy the recipe, and good luck with your new lifestyle!
Teriyaki chicken with frozen veggies (broccali, carrots, peas)..I bought some chicken breast that I'm going to marinate in the Teriyaki sauce and then put it on the foreman grill, make some brown rice and add the veggies. I hope it tastes good.
I also like to make chicken fajitas, I cut the chicken into chunks and cook then I add some chopped onion, bell peppers and a little bit of fajita seasoning with water towards the end. let simmer. warm up corn tortillas.
Another thing is barbeque chicken.
go buy some regular chicken breasts. uncooked. i prefer tyson. and buy bread crumbs.( you can also used crushed up chex, if you like crispy chicken) and ranch. put the ranch in a good sized bowl or plate so you can cover both sides of the chicken. then also have your bread crumbs in another plate so you can be ready to re cover after ranching your chicken. then put it on a tray and put it in the oven ! its real good. i lost 20 lbs eating thing for lunch or dinner. . have some green beans to go with it. or a baked potato. its great
snack on healthy nuts (pecans,almonds) and dried fruit (dates,plums(prunes), cherries, cranberries)
steam vegs.,
IKD with chicken..umm. place chicken in cold water,lemon,and lime juice. for about 1hr
dry.
add whatever seasonings you have.. or just salt and pepper and lawery's seasoning salt (if you did this skip salt)
add olive oil to pan heat up
add chicken
let the chicken brown on each side.
Add your favorite sauce
place into a oven until down (350 degrees)

Here is more information for the future:
Do you have a microwave? If not, do your best to buy one during December...they are on sell for about $60.00 at places such as Walmart, Target, and etc. Do not buy a low wattage such as 700. But one over 1000w. Mine is 1100w.
There are only two of us at home and we found out that the now frozen dinners are delicious and most are healthy with no preservatives. Buy the top known brands. We like the ones in the ';red'; boxes.
Here is a typical weekly dinner for us:
We both have our own frozen dinner;
Canned pears or other fruits;
Small can of vegetables;
Can of sweet potatoes or bake two potatoes in the microwave;
Ready made frozen pie, or a dessert from the deli, or ice cream cups.
Give it a try for one week and see what you think.
Another thing you can do is buy sealed pre-cooked meats such as pot roast, chicken, pork chops, ham, meatloaf, etc. Divide them into meals and freeze them. We do this often. Ask a grocery store clerk to help you find these pre-cooked meats. They are in the refridgeration section.
The boxed pasta dinners are delicious. Just follow the directions on the boxes. You will find these on the shelf at your grocery store. Each box has a packet of spices.
You can buy cups of rice for one person. Just add water. Follow directions on the containers.
Canned soups with a sandwich make great dinners or lunches.
Bagged salad greens will often give you two or three salads. BE SURE TO READ THE DATES. Buy the ones that have been washed twice. Salad greens go bad fast.
Cerals are good for supper.
Eggs are also good for supper as in fried egg sandwiches.
Grilled cheeses with soup.
Spam can be fried or eaten cold on bread.
Canned fish such as kippers, sardines, tuna, salmon (I like to put a little soy sauce or salsa on kippers and sardines).
