Looking for a recipe that can be recommended for a slowcooker. I had just bought mine and don't know too many recipes for it. I am looking to make chickenbreast perhaps in a creamy sauce or breaded. I love Italian seasonings and herbs. Would prefer it to go well over rice. Thanks in advance.
-Please don't copy and paste recipes from websites, I am looking for something that has been tested in your homes and came out delicious. Thanks!Chicken recipe?
I've fixed this several times for my family....Easy and good..
Two cans of cream of mushroom soup..
Add a couple of bay leaves..three cloves of garlic, chopped up..I always put a few pats of margerine or butter on top..
Let it cook till it's done..Is very good over rice or noodles..Chicken recipe?
I usually don't use a slowcooker for chickenbreast, just isn't hot enough for me.

Ciao! I'm writing from Italy.. My first recipe is:
Roasted Chichen with Potatoes (in my family we eat this dish all Sunday lunch)
a chicken (in pieces), 5 big potatoes, 1 glass of wine, 3 gloves of garlic, rosemary, salt, extravigin olive oil
Put the chichen in a bowl adding the glass of wine, 1 tablespoon of oil, salt and the gloves of garlic. I switched on the oven at 180掳C , I cut the potatoes and I added the cubes in the bowl. I waited for 30 minutes then I put everything in a large pan adding rosemary and I cooked in the oven for 1 hour and a half.
The second is Chicken Cacciatore, it's a typical dish of my region you need:
1 chicken, about 31/2 pounds, 4 large green peppers, 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil, divided, 3 ounces pancetta, chopped, 1 clove garlic, peeled and slightly crushed, 3/4 cup dry white wine,12 ounces canned, crushed, tomatoes parsley, finely chopped, salt and freshly ground pepper
Cut the peppers into quarters. Remove inner white ribbing and seeds; slice peppers into thin strips. Clean the chicken, and cut it into pieces. In a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat, add 1/4 cup olive oil, pancetta and garlic. Saut茅 for 2 to 3 minutes, then add the chicken pieces, and stir. When the meat is nicely browned on all sides, deglaze with wine, and scrape up browned bits from the bottom of the pan. When wine has evaporated, add tomatoes. Cover, and simmer over low heat until cooked through (about 30 minutes). Add parsley, salt and pepper to taste.
In a separate skillet, fry the peppers in 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil over medium-high heat. When soft, remove from oil with a slotted spoon, salt lightly, and add to the chicken
Un grosso bacio
Italian Creamed Chicken
2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup butter, melted
8 oz. cream cheese w/chives, softened
10 oz. can condensed golden cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg. Italian dressing mix
1/2 cup water
Cut chicken breasts into strips and place into a 4 quart crockpot. In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, softened cream cheese, soup, Italian dressing mix and water and stir until blended. Pour over chicken in crockpot.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Stir well, then serve over hot cooked pasta or rice.
You could add vegetables to this recipe to make it a one-dish meal. A package of baby carrots, or a cup of chopped onion should be placed under the chicken and cooked for the full time. Add sliced mushrooms to the crockpot in the last 2 hours. And add sliced bell peppers or zucchini during the last hour of cooking.
