Does anyone have a recipe for apple cheddar chicken?

I had this at cracker barrell and just loved it!! It was made with chicken breast, sliced apples, cheddar sauce and ritz crackers crumbled on top. I am just wondering how they make the cheese sauce and is anyone has their own recipe for this that would be great also!! Thanks!Does anyone have a recipe for apple cheddar chicken?

ALL-AMERICAN CHICKEN BAKE

1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut in serving pieces

1/2 c. flour

1 tsp. flavor enhancer, optional

1 1/2 tsp. thyme

1 1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/4 c. corn oil

2 apples, sliced

2 tbsp. maple syrup

1/4 lb. sliced Cheddar cheese, cut in strips

Shake chicken in bag with flour, flavor enhancer, thyme, salt and pepper until each piece is evenly coated. Heat corn oil in fry pan over medium heat. Add chicken; brown on all sides.

Line a large shallow baking dish with aluminum foil, leaving enough to wrap over chicken when cooking. Place chicken in pan; add apple slices and drizzle maple syrup on top.

Seal foil. Bake in 400 degree oven 40 minutes or until chicken is done. Open foil and arrange cheese strips, criss-cross fashion on top of chicken. With foil still rolled back, return to oven and bake 5 minutes or until cheese melts. 4 servings.
