I need the recipe for sweet and sour chicken from the recipe of the day?

found either 6-26-06 or 6-27-06I need the recipe for sweet and sour chicken from the recipe of the day?
Here's an interesting recipe, hope it's what you would like...........


THERE ARE OTHER TYPES YOU CAN DO AS WELL


SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN


3 boneless skinless chicken breast


sesame seeds (optional)


1 green bell pepper (julienned)


1 clove of garlic (chopped)


2 1/2 tbsp. of coconut oil


1 jar of La Choy sweet and sour sauce





Cube chicken into desired chuncks; set aside. Heat oil until melted over low heat. Add sesame seeds and chopped garlic, stir to mix together, turn up heat to med-hi, and add chicken.





Stir fry until chicken is thoroughly cooked, then add bell pepper and sweet and sour sauce. Stir and turn down heat to low.





Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes until bell pepper is soft and tender. Serves 2-3.

JESSICA'S JAMAICAN CURRY CHICKEN





1/2 chicken (cleaned, with skin removed)


4 stems fresh thyme


1 onion


5 tbsp. curry


2 cloves garlic


3 tbsp. all purpose seasoning


3 tbsp. black pepper


1 tbsp. chicken seasoning


3 white potatoes (peeled, cut in cubes)


1 lemon


1 tbsp. vegetable oil


2 tbsp. butter


2 c. water


1/2 Scotch bonnet pepper





Wash chicken with lemon and cut into bite size pieces





Season with all dry ingredients





Chop all herbs and add to chicken (use hands to rub in seasonings, and let sit in refrigerator for 1/2 hr.





Place chicken, water and oil in a pot, stir, and cook on high till it comes to a boil,stir, lower heat until chicken is almost cooked.





Add potatoes and butter.





Cook until water is reduced and potatoes are tender.





Serve over steamed white rice





Serves 4. Enjoy

SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN





4 boned skinless chicken breast halves (cut into bite size pieces)


1 med. onion, chopped


1/2 c. green pepper, chopped


8 oz. can drained pineapple chunks


1/3 c. sweet and sour sauce


1 tsp. soy sauce


1/4 c. cashews or peanuts (optional)


Hot cooked rice





Rinse chicken and pat dry. In a 2 quart, microwave safe casserole, combine chicken pieces, onion and green pepper. Cook, covered, on high for 6 to 8 minutes until no pink remains in chicken pieces, stirring twice. Drain off juices. Stir in pineapple chunks, sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce. Cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes until mixture is heated through. Stir in cashews or peanuts. Serve with rice. Makes 4 servings.

SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN CASSEROLE





2 chicken breasts


1 pkg. Suzi Wan vegetable and rice (cook)


1 c. rice, cooked


1 can chop suey vegetables


1 can sliced water chestnuts


1 sm jar pimentos


1 can chunk pineapple (save juice)


1 can chicken broth


1 bottle sweet and sour sauce





Brown chicken in butter. Season with Mrs. Dash. Saute in 1/2 of broth, cool. Cut in bite size chunks. Mix broth, juice and sweet and sour sauce. Add to rice. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

SWEET %26amp; SOUR CHICKEN NUGGETS





1 (12 oz.) pkg. frozen breaded chicken nuggets


1 (16 oz.) can apricot halves, drained


1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods


3/4 c. commercial sweet %26amp; sour sauce





Cook chicken according to package directions. Set aside. Combine apricot halves, pea pods and sweet %26amp; sour sauce in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated. Well here is one of my favorite recipe





INGREDIENTS:


1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, juice reserved


1/4 cup soy sauce


1/2 cup vinegar


3/4 cup brown sugar


1/4 cup all-purpose flour


1 1/2 green bell peppers, diced


1 cup chopped celery


1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced


1 1/2 pounds cooked chicken meat, cut into strips

DIRECTIONS:


In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, blend reserved pineapple juice, soy sauce, vinegar, and brown sugar. Mix in flour, and stir until thickened.


Stir bell peppers, celery, and water chestnuts into the saucepan. Mix in chicken. Cook and stir until heated through. Stir in the pineapple chunks before serving.

INGREDIENTS:


1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained


2 green bell pepper, cut into 1 inch pieces


1/4 cup cornstarch


1 3/4 cups water


3/4 cup white sugar


1/2 cup distilled white vinegar


2 drops orange food color


8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch cubes


2 1/4 cups self-rising flour


2 tablespoons vegetable oil


2 tablespoons cornstarch


1/2 teaspoon salt


1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper


1 egg


2 cups water


1 quart vegetable oil for frying

DIRECTIONS:


In a saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, vinegar, reserved pineapple syrup, and orange food coloring. Heat to boiling. Turn off heat. Combine 1/4 cup cornstarch and 1/4 cup water; slowly stir into saucepan. Continue stirring until mixture thickens.


Combine flour, 2 tablespoons oil, 2 tablespoons cornstarch, salt, white pepper, and egg. Add 1 1/2 cups water gradually to make a thick batter. Stir to blend thoroughly. Add chicken pieces, and stir until chicken is well coated.


Heat oil in skillet or wok to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C). Fry chicken pieces in hot oil until golden. Remove chicken, and drain on paper towels.


When ready to serve, layer green peppers, pineapple chunks, and cooked chicken pieces on a platter. Pour hot sweet and sour sauce over top.

i am a great cook. let me tell you the best way first you want to grill the chicken for a bout a pound of chicken you want to add rosemerry 1 teaspone 1 teaspone of salt , same with pepper and paparecka,and garlic. mix all in a pan. then sprinkle on the chicken. grill check with knife to make sure chicken is done or almost done . next put chicken in pan. grap a bowl.and a brush. put a cup of soy sauce.pineapple tyblits brown sugar. cherry juicemix all together. then brush on chicken. put chicken in oven. and wait about 5 to 10 min. make sure you preheat the oven to 350. the garnish with cherries and pur the left over suace from the pan all and around the chicken.
